Field Sales Representative

The Talent Search Group at Partner in Publishing is searching for a Field Sales Representative, Higher Education, (PA & NJ) on behalf of our client, a leading publisher for languages and ELL learning products and platforms.
The Field Sales Representative is a key member of the Higher Education team, representing the company’s print and digital language education products to new and existing accounts at colleges, universities, and programs in the PA & NJ territory..
IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL:
- Manage and grow an assigned territory by closing business consistently in order to achieve sales quotas
- Establish and maintain strong partnerships with key education professionals
- Develop a strong understanding of customer needs
- Deliver impactful and engaging digital and live presentations
- Partner with sales support team members in order to meet our customers’ needs
- Ensure utilization of and data accuracy in our CRM and other tools for effective territory analysis, planning and account management
YOU MUST HAVE (MINIMUM REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE):
- Bachelor’s degree minimum
- 2-3+ years’ experience in a consultative sales, business development or account management role within the education technology (ed-tech), language learning or publishing industry
- Strong technology orientation and experience presenting and/or doing demonstrations to a variety of audiences in-person and virtually
- Excellent relationship building, prospecting, territory building, interpersonal, and negotiation skills
- Experience using a CRM to manage sales activities and accounts
IDEAL IF YOU HAVE or ARE (PREFERRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE):
- Experience teaching language courses in Higher Education or company product familiarity
- Working knowledge of using Salesforce.com
- Proficiency in Spanish, German, French or Italian
- Advanced degree
Salary: $65-75K base salary plus sales bonus and car allowance

Location: This role requires residence within one of the two territory states (PA or NJ), ideally in the Philadelphia area, and a willingness to travel throughout the territory without restriction.
