Senior Technical Writer K-12 (US or Canada)

The Talent Search Group  at PiP is seeking a Senior Technical Writer on behalf of our client, an EdTech supporting K-5 literacy with an AI-powered tutoring platform. The Senior Technical Writer is a highly skilled member of the Proposal Team with expertise in literacy, science of reading, psychometrics, statistics and research, who is able to interpret psychometric and research findings and translate them into actionable content. 

This role requires expertise in developing high-quality, compelling, and compliant proposals for government and education sector RFPs, RFIs, and other procurement documents. 

  • Must be able to interpret psychometric and research findings and translate them into clear, actionable content for proposals. 
  • Develop content related to science of reading, psychometrics (reliability and validity), 3rd generation assessments, efficacy research, content alignment, prediction studies, productive assessments, speech language recognition, ML, and AI.  
  • Translate technical and product-specific language into clear, benefits-driven content for educational and governmental stakeholders

Required Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in English, Communications, Technical Writing, Computer Science, Psychometrics, Educational Measurement, or a related field. A PhD degree is a plus.
  • 7+ years of experience in research and/or technical writing, with a focus on proposal or grant writing associated with large-scale assessment, formative/interim, science of reading or literacy. 
  • Knowledge of and application of the Science of Reading, neuroscience of reading, dyslexia and reading difficulties. 
  • Proven track record of successfully writing and winning proposals for state, federal, and/or education-sector procurements.

Candidates must live in the US or Canada.

Base salary is $150-160K.
