The Talent Search Group at PiP is searching for a Regional Sales Manager, K-12, for the West US region, on behalf of our client, the leading provider of language learning products in K-12 and Higher Education.
Regional Sales Manager is an experienced sales leader who can bring industry and management expertise to develop the team and achieve the next level of success. The RSM will lead the development and execution of the overall sales strategy for the company’s suite of print and digital products.
YOU MUST HAVE (MINIMUM REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE)
- Bachelor’s degree.
- 10+ years successful consultative sales experience selling both digital and print based products within the publishing, EdTech, or similar industry.
- 3+ years’ leadership experience managing and developing both remote/field-based sales team members and other people managers with a strong ‘player-coach’ mentality.
- Experience using a CRM, analyzing sales data and creating accurate regional forecasts.
- Exceptional sales skills including strategic thinking, prospecting, planning, presentation, negotiation, relationship building, territory management and active listening skills.
- A willingness to travel within the region (50-60%+) to support team member development and success, plus travel to sales leadership/team meetings without restrictions.
IDEAL IF YOU HAVE OR ARE (PREFERRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE):
- Experience selling digital and print-based products within the education industry
- Experience in the K-12 education space
- Experience with California’s K12 education state adoption process, etc.
- Experience with Salesforce.com
- An advanced degree
- A working knowledge of multiple languages (Spanish or French specifically)
LOCATION: Candidates must reside within reasonable proximity to a major airport in one of the following western US states: California, Washington, Oregon, Nevada, Arizona, Colorado or Utah. Ideal candidate will reside in the state of California (CA). Relocation is not available for this position.
SALARY: $130,000 – $150,000
This position is eligible for sales incentives based on employee and organizational performance.
