Field Sales Representative (US Midwest)

The Talent Search Group at Partner in Publishing is searching for a Field Sales Representative, Higher Education (US Midwest) on behalf of our client, a leading publisher for modern languages and ELL learning products and platforms.

The Field Sales Representative is a key member of the Higher Education team, representing the company’s print and digital language education products to new and existing accounts at colleges, universities, and programs in the territory (Minnesota, Iowa, Missouri, Nebraska, Wisconsin).

IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL:

  • Manage and grow an assigned territory by closing business consistently in order to achieve sales quotas
  • Establish and maintain strong partnerships with key education professionals
  • Develop a strong understanding of customer needs
  • Deliver impactful and engaging digital and live presentations
  • Ensure utilization of and data accuracy in our CRM and other tools for effective territory analysis, planning and account management

You must have:

  • Bachelor’s degree minimum
  • 2-3+ years’ experience in a consultative sales, business development or account management role within the education technology (ed-tech), language learning or publishing industry
  • Strong technology orientation and experience presenting and/or doing demonstrations to a variety of audiences in-person and virtually
  • Excellent relationship building, prospecting, territory building, interpersonal, and negotiation skills
  • Experience using a CRM (e.g. Salesforce) to manage sales activities and accounts

Ideal if you have:

  • Proficiency in Spanish, German, French or Italian

Salary: $80-90K base salary plus sales bonus and car allowance

Location: This role requires residence within the territory.  The i, ideal candidate will reside within close proximity to a major airport in Minneapolis, Minnesota, St. Louis, Missouri, or Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Candidates must have a willingness to travel throughout the territory without restriction.
