Partner in Publishing is searching for a Field Sales Representative, Higher Ed, (Arizona) on behalf of our client, a leading publisher for language learning products for K-12 and Higher Education schools and universities.

WHAT IS THE ROLE ABOUT?  As a Field Sales Representative on the Higher Education sales team, you will work to expand the company’s presence at schools in Kansas, New Mexico, Oklahoma and parts of Arizona. You will work closely with the Associate Regional Sales Manager and other internal stakeholders to understand customer challenges and identify your language product solutions for their students.

IN THIS ROLE YOU WILL: 

  • Establish and maintain strong partnerships and working relationships with key education professionals at current and potential Higher Education customers
  • Network and develop a strong understanding of the specific needs of schools and customers within the assigned territory
  • Deliver impactful and engaging digital and live presentations showing how your solutions can help solve their challenges and achieve learning outcomes
  • Close business on a consistent basis to achieve sales quotas 
  • Utilize CRM (Salesforce.com) and other tools to build a territory database for effective analysis, planning and account management
  • Partner effectively with sales support team members in an effort to satisfy customers’ needs

YOU MUST HAVE (MINIMUM REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE) 

  • Bachelor’s degree minimum required 
  • 2+ years of sales, business development or territory management experience required 
  • Demonstrated success achieving sales goals with a solution and consultative sales approach required 
  • A willingness to travel within the region (approx 40-50%) during the academic year required 

IDEAL IF YOU HAVE or ARE (PREFERRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE) 

  • Demonstrated success achieving sales goals with a solution and consultative sales approach
  • Experience selling in the Higher Education or K-12 market and managing a long sales cycle
  • Experience selling Educational, Ed-tech, Publishing, Language or similar products
  • Excellent relationship building, networking, interpersonal and communication skills
  • Familiarity with our products
  • Excellent prospecting, territory building, and negotiation skills  

LOCATION 

Remote: This role requires residence in the Phoenix, Arizona area and in close proximity to a major airport. This role requires a willingness to travel throughout the territory without restriction. Candidates must meet this requirement in order to be considered.
